As we all work together to slow the spread of COVID-19, more of us are staying at home and driving less, which means there are fewer accidents. That's why Allstate has announced a Shelter-in-Place Payback for customers. As part of the Allstate family of companies, Esurance will also offer the Shelter-in-Place Payback.
Shelter-in-Place Payback for Esurance customers
We're extending the Shelter-in-Place Payback one more month. In addition to the paybacks already processed in April and May, we're providing a payback in June, available to eligible auto and motorcycle insurance customers.
- Eligible auto and motorcycle insurance customers will receive a credit to their policy in June for 15% of their May monthly premium (excluding fees).
- For customers who have paid in full, the payback will be refunded to the most recent form of payment.
- To be eligible for the June payback, customers must have an active policy as of 5/31/20 (and have successfully made an initial payment.)
Please rest assured, no action is required on your part. Our teams are working quickly to process the paybacks, and will automatically apply your payback as a policy credit or refund. You'll receive a confirmation when the payback is processed.
Fraud alert. We've been notified about a scam involving the paybacks. If someone calls you pretending to represent Esurance and tells you they need your banking or credit card info to process your payback — it's a scam. Please remember, we will process your payback automatically and will NOT be calling to ask for any account or financial info. Never give your personal information, like banking info or credit or debit card numbers to anyone, including anyone claiming to need it to process your payback.

Extended coverage for commercial deliveries
Standard auto insurance policies don't typically cover commercial deliveries. But with so many people helping deliver vital supplies to their communities, we're extending coverage for customers who use their personal vehicles to deliver food, medicine, and essential services for a commercial purpose. This coverage will be automatically applied in any state where an emergency order is in place. No action is required on your part.

Shelter-in-Place Payback: Your questions answered
Because many Americans are sheltering at home, they're driving less and getting into fewer accidents. So Esurance, as part of the Allstate family of companies, is giving money back to auto and motorcycle insurance customers.
Esurance auto insurance and motorcycle insurance customers with an active policy (as long as they've made their initial payment) as of 5/31/20 are eligible for the June Payback. Note that other vehicle types like golf carts or ATVs are not eligible.
Eligible customers will get a payback credit of 15% of May auto and motorcycle premiums (excluding fees).
June Paybacks will be processed beginning June 17th. You'll receive a credit (or refund) confirmation email when the payback is processed.
June Paybacks will be credited to your policy beginning June 17th. For customers who have paid in full, a refund of the calculated payback will be made to the most recent form of payment used, or by check if we can't process the refund electronically.
No need to do anything. June Paybacks will be processed automatically for all eligible auto and motorcycle insurance policyholders. It's as easy as that.
No. Regardless of whether or not your state is under an official order, and regardless of whether or not you're exempt from such orders for work in an essential business, the payback applies. The only eligibility requirements are based on having an active auto or motorcycle insurance policy (as long as you've made your initial payment) as of 5/31/20 for the June Payback.
Yes! The payback is calculated based on monthly premium (excluding fees), even if you paid all at once. If you paid-in-full or have made all monthly payments for your policy, the June Payback will be issued as a refund to the last form of payment you used on your policy.
Yes. We'll send you an email confirmation when your credit (or refund) is processed.
