how the DriveSense discount works

When you enroll in DriveSense, you'll automatically receive a 5 percent discount on your policy, just for signing up. After your first policy term, you could earn a personalized discount every term, the amount of which is based specifically on your driving. The safer you drive, the more you save.

Your discount is personalized based on your habits behind the wheel, so it could go up or down from one term to the next. Of course, this also means that if you don't drive safely, you'll earn a smaller discount.

If you have multiple drivers on your policy, you can enroll them all in DriveSense too (which could help you save even more).

how to enroll in DriveSense

Here's how you get started:

  1. If you live in Utah, Colorado, Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, South Dakota, or Texas, look for DriveSense in the discount section.
  2. Purchase your policy.
  3. Download the DriveSense mobile app by searching "DriveSense" in the App Store or Play Store.
  4. Log in and start driving.

That's all there is to it! To determine your personalized discount, the DriveSense app automatically records driving data like your speed, hard braking events, and time of day. You can review the data in the app anytime to help you develop safer driving habits (and save more money while you're at it).

As with all your personal information, we maintain the highest level of commitment to protecting any data the app collects. GPS information is stored only on your smartphone, so it can't be viewed by anyone else (even if they're on your policy).
