Esurance Isn’t Silent About Giving Back to the Community

Esurance, a direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, will sponsor the fifth Annual Urban Services YMCA Wine Tasting and Silent Auction on May 18. All proceeds will benefit Urban Services YMCA's programs, which include activities focused on violence prevention, academic enrichment, family support, and other youth development services. One lucky bidder will even get the chance to appear as a guest voice in an upcoming Esurance commercial.
Kristin Brewe, Esurance Director of Brand & Public Relations, explained, "Esurance is very proud to be a company headquartered in San Francisco, and we owe much of our success to the support of our Bay Area community. It's important to return that support in unique ways that benefit great local causes, like Urban Services YMCA."
The event promises to be a fun and festive evening, and will include a silent auction with many prominent Bay Area winemakers having donated fine wines. Several additional donated items will be auctioned off, including two Esurance packages: 1.) The "Erin Esurance Get Animated" package promises prime-time television exposure to the highest bidder, as the winner will appear as a guest voice in an upcoming Erin Esurance ad; 2.) The "Esurance Sports Fanatics" package which will encourage hometown pride with tickets to local sporting events, including the Esurance-sponsored San Francisco Giants.
Brewe added, "If there's anyone who thinks they can make the best monster noise or do any other interesting sounds, they should definitely attend this event and bid on the "Erin Esurance Get Animated" package. Our ads are made here in San Francisco, and it would be great to have a member of the community participate in that, especially since it benefits a wonderful organization like YMCA Urban Services."
The Urban Services YMCA Wine Tasting and Silent Auction will take place at the Caldwell Snyder Gallery from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets to the May 18 event are still available at www.gourban.org*.
