Esurance Honors Tampa Employee’s Community Service

Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal car insurance company, is honoring employee Joe Miles for his community service in its "Face of Esurance" recognition program.
The program highlights employees who exemplify the Esurance values of inclusion and service. Each quarter Esurance honors a nominated employee for going above and beyond in the community and for helping to create an inclusive and constructive work
Joe Miles, a field appraiser manager for Esurance's Tampa office, spends much of his free time volunteering with his wife at South Tampa Health & Rehabilitation Center. Along with other volunteers, Joe has organized projects as small as sending personalized cards to residents on their birthdays and as large as staging classic car shows in the residence parking lot, complete with food and entertainment.
"I adopted the South Tampa Health & Rehab Center about five years ago after visiting it with my church," said Miles. "Many of the residents don't have any family, so my wife and I decided we would try to be their family. And I try to get as many of my friends and colleagues involved as I can."
Employees selected as the "Face of Esurance" are featured on posters at all 14 office locations and on the company's intranet. They are acknowledged for both professional and personal achievements, their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and their contributions to their local communities. Esurance also makes a contribution to a charity of the employee's choice.
