Esurance Thinks Bay Area Kids ROCK
San Francisco, CA — May 10, 2007
Esurance, the direct-to-consumer personal auto insurance company, is taking part in the inaugural Real Option for City Kids (ROCK) Corporate Challenge, "Go for Good." On May 19, some of the largest corporations in the Bay Area, including San Francisco's Esurance, will go head-to-head in a technological scavenger hunt. All proceeds benefit ROCK, an organization that provides positive opportunities for at-risk youth in San Francisco.
For the "Go for Good" Corporate Challenge, ROCK will provide each team with a video-capable cell phone and digital camera. The teams will then explore San Francisco's Presidio, where they'll download missions and clues on their phones, taking digital photos as proof of their accomplishments. Corporate participants get to engage in team-building and help a worthwhile organization in the process.
John Swigart, Esurance's CMO, stated, "This scavenger hunt is a unique way for local companies to participate in a little friendly competition, while supporting a great cause like ROCK. With our special agent–themed ad campaign, our focus on technology, and our community commitment, ROCK's 'Go For Good' is a great fit for Esurance."
