4/19/2008 Esurance Temple Terrace Cleanup and Tree Planting In under half an hour, 32 volunteers planted 38 trees in Temple Terrace, Florida. Litter was also removed from the surrounding area during this event as part of the Great American Cleanup.

4/18/2008 Degolyer Elementary Garden of Discovery Dedication Ceremony Esurance partners with Project Learning Tree and the GreenWorks! Grant Initiative to fund environmental learning projects in schools near our regional offices. Degolyer Elementary in Dallas created the Garden of Discovery to help 4th and 5th graders learn about earth sciences in a hands-on manner.

4/16/2008 Earth Day with the SF Giants Esurance teamed up with the San Francisco Giants to celebrate the first ever Earth Day at AT&T Park. Our environmental partner Friends of the Urban Forest received a $50,000 donation from Esurance, and threw out the first pitch of the game.

3/29/2008 Earth Hour Esurance was proud to partner with the World Wildlife Fund in support of Earth Hour. On March 29, from 8-9 p.m., millions of people around the world switched off their lights for Earth Hour. Visit Earth

12/15/2007 South Portland Riverbank Tree Planting in Portland, OR More than 20 volunteers, including 5 Esurance policyholders, gathered on this cold December day to plant trees and fortify existing trees along the South Portland Riverbank. Esurance partnered with Friends of Trees to sponsor the event.

11/10/2007 Carbon Offset Day with EarthCorps in Seattle, WA EarthCorps, in partnership with Esurance, led volunteers at sites throughout the greater Seattle area to plant over 3,000 trees and plants in the first-ever Carbon Offset Day. Volunteers, including Seattle City Council Member Richard Conlin, also learned other ways to reduce or offset their carbon emissions. Governor Christine Gregoire proclaimed November 10 as the state's Carbon Offset Day.

11/10/2007 Flowering Tree Planting in Winter Park, FL Thirty-plus volunteers planted 26 flowering trees in Lake Island Park. Esurance worked with T.R.E.E., Inc and the city's Parks and Recreation Department to add some green as well as some pink, purple, yellow, and white plants to the flourishing city.
