Will I need to pay a deposit when I buy auto insurance from Esurance?
When you buy your auto insurance policy online from Esurance, you'll be led to a payments page that will explain your various payment options. At this point, you'll be asked for your payment information.
Of course, if you pay in full when you buy your auto insurance policy, no deposit is necessary. If you pay your auto insurance premium in installments, your down payment to Esurance must be made before your policy is considered active.
If you're not ready to pay for your auto insurance right away, you can save your account and come back when you are ready. Keep in mind, however, that your Esurance policy will not go into effect until we've received either your deposit or your payment in full.
