Can Esurance recommend a body shop for my claim repairs?
If your car has been damaged in an accident, you want it repaired by someone you trust. When you make an auto insurance claim with Esurance, we understand that you might already have a body shop that you feel comfortable with. That's why we allow you to take your car anywhere you like, as long as the facility can provide a repair estimate.
If you don't have a preferred body shop, we can help you locate a shop that's close to your home or work with one of the many shops affiliated with Esurance.
Estimates written by shops affiliated with Esurance are free. We've found that, in most cases, repairs can be finished more quickly if one of the Esurance Direct Repair Program body shops located near you performs an immediate appraisal. If you choose to have your vehicle repaired at one of the shops affiliated with us, it's likely that you'll get your car back faster. And the repairs will be guaranteed for as long as you own the car.
In most cases, we find that it's more efficient to have the body shop appraise your damage and send it to our appraisers. Our appraisers then review these estimates online and then send them electronically to your claims representative for payment.
