FAQ: Billing and Payment
What if my auto insurance payments are past due?
With so many bills to pay, it’s easy for one to occasionally slip your mind. To make things easier, Esurance bills your credit or debit/ATM card, or your checking/savings account automatically when you’re auto insurance payment is due. With automatic payments, you have one less bill to worry about-- and great auto insurance to boot!
For your convenience, we’ll always send a reminder email before we bill your account. If we’re unable to withdraw payments because of insufficient funds or incorrect billing information, your payments will be considered late. In order to avoid this situation, make sure you plan ahead and keep us updated on any changes to your billing info.
If we are unable to charge you for you auto insurance, we’ll email you letting you know that your payment is late.
If you’re only a couple of days late with your payment, Esurance will simply send you a reminder. However, be advised that if we haven’t received your payment after 30 days, you’re auto insurance policy will be canceled. Because we don’t want to ever have to cancel a policyholder’s account, we’ll send reminder emails at the 3, 10, 20, and 29 days marks.
Fortunately, Esurance makes it easy for you to check when your next payment is due. All you have to do is log into your Esurance account. There, you can find information about your auto insurance policy, including payment information. Wondering how much you owe? Your payment summary will tell you. Not sure when your payment’s due? That information is provided as well!
Esurance strives to make auto insurance easy. And with online account management and automatic bill pay, it is!
