Schedule regular breaks. Whether it's a trip to the water cooler or a 5-minute walk around the office, make a point to get up regularly. Even short movement breaks every hour can help lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and waist size. |

Use a stability ball. If you have to sit, you might as well strengthen your core, improve your balance and flexibility, and burn some extra calories. |

Stand whenever you can. Standing also burns more calories than sitting, tones muscle, and increases blood flow (and is the natural remedy for prolonged sitting). |
