Customizing your motorcycle insurance policy is kind of like customizing your motorcycle — it's pretty awesome as it is, but you can always make it even more awesome. These optional coverages offer additional protection for whatever the open road throws your way.
Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage
About 7 percent of Pennsylvania motorists drive without insurance. That's below the national average, but still high enough to seriously consider getting covered in the event of an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver.
If someone without insurance (or high enough coverage limits) hits you and causes you and your passengers any injuries or your ride any damage, uninsured motorist coverage steps in to make sure you're not paying medical and repair bills out of pocket.
Trip interruption coverage
Did your vintage Harley come to a sputtering halt in the middle of nowhere? If you get into an accident or you have a mechanical breakdown on a long road trip, we'll help pay:
- $50 for alternate transportation
- $50 for food
- $100 for lodging
That's per day until your bike is rideable again (up to $500 per incident).
Medical payments coverage
It's always nice to have a little cushion if you take a tumble on your Titan. Medical payments coverage will help pay for accident-related medical expenses for you and your passengers, regardless of fault in the accident.
Towing and labor
Get a flat flying down the freeway? We'll pay up to $100 if you need a tow to the closest repair facility, and we can even help pay for mishaps like:
- A broken down bike (within 100 feet of a roadway)
- Low fluid, including fuel
- A dead battery
- Lost keys
- A flat tire
Motorcyclists know better than anyone that road hazards can fly up from seemingly nowhere (and they're not always other vehicles).
Whether a rock from the road breaks your headlight or someone takes off with your ride when you stop for a bite to eat, comprehensive coverage can help with repair and replacement bills.
Life happens. If you cause an accident and need to get your bike fixed, collision coverage kicks in to help repair or replace your ride (after your deductible is met). It can also cover up to $500 per helmet.
