Just like car drivers, motorcyclists in the Nutmeg State are required by law to carry liability insurance with at least the following coverage minimums:
- $20,000 bodily injury per person
- $40,000 bodily injury per accident
- $10,000 property damage per accident
If you unintentionally cause an accident while riding, liability kicks in to cover others' injury or property damage costs, up to your selected limit.
At Esurance, we believe a good rule of thumb is to choose as much liability insurance as you can comfortably afford. That way, you won't have to sacrifice your own hard-earned savings in case accident bills start to snowball.
