Wayne County car crashes
Home to Detroit, Wayne County saw about 3 times more crash-related fatalities than any other county in the state in 2013, according to stats from Michigan State Police.
Out of nearly 45,000 crashes, 151 resulted in fatalities, almost 10,000 resulted in injury, and about 35,000 resulted in property damage.
There were more than 700 carjackings in the city in 2013, according to the Detroit Police Department. Though still a significantly higher rate than cities of similar size, that's down from 850 in 2011.
