How do I sign up for DriveSense?
We're in the process of transitioning the DriveSense program from the old OBD-II device (which tracked your driving habits by plugging into your vehicle) to a new mobile app. Currently, the app is only available in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington, which means drivers there can sign up for DriveSense.
If you're not in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington, check back here soon. We'll be rolling out the all-new DriveSense in your state soon. If you're already enrolled in DriveSense, you can keep using your current device until the app is available near you. (We'll let you know when that happens).
Are there any fees associated with DriveSense?
Participating in DriveSense is free (it's there to save you money, not cost you more).
Will my privacy be maintained?
Can I stop participating in the program? What happens if I stop?
You can opt out of the program anytime by calling us at 1-888-974-3543. If you opt out, you'll no longer be eligible for the discount, but your Esurance car insurance policy will not otherwise be affected.
