Dear Policyholder,
It's hard to believe that the new year is just around the corner. To help you prepare for 2007, in this edition of our policyholder newsletter, we'll provide information to help you tune-up your financial services— particularly your insurance coverage.
Since many of us have to suffer through a little winter weather, we hope
you'll take some solace in the vacation memories of fellow policyholders.
Be sure to take a look at the outstanding photos of those who participated
in our Roadtrip Photo Contest. The submissions were creative and visually interesting, and they reflect the fact that our policyholders are definitely on
the go.
To meet the needs of people on the go, Esurance has expanded our
online services and enhanced our claims service in 2006. In 2007, we
will not swerve from our commitment to ongoing excellence. It is our pleasure and pride to serve you.
On behalf of our entire company, thank you for making us one of the
fastest growing auto insurance companies in America. We wish you
and yours a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2007. And, wherever the
road takes you this winter, safe travels!
Best regards, Gary Tolman Esurance President & CEO

Next Year, I Resolve to...
Most of us have made new year's resolutions at one time or another. In
fact, some of us make them and break them annually! Whether it's improving our minds, our bodies, or our relationships, we always have
the best intentions for the coming year. Generally, by mid-January we're already faltering in our resolve. By June, our resolution is all but forgotten (but, of course, we promise to do better next year).
Don't worry, we've all been there. And while we can't help you stick to
your diet, Esurance wants to help make your new year a little easier.

and yourself, click here.
And while you're getting organized... time to think about:
Homeowners and Renters Insurance
If you own a home, you know that homeowners insurance is a necessity, but did you know that it can also help protect items that are stolen from
your car? Additionally, if you rent, your landlord's insurance policy will not cover the loss of your clothes, furniture, or other items.
Whether you own or rent, get a quote from the Esurance Homeowners Insurance Program and protect your home and your belongings from burglary and property damage.
Health Insurance
While you're making those doctors appointments, it may also be a good time to re-evaluate your health insurance coverage. Even if you already
have health insurance through your employer, it may not be tailored to fit your specific needs. You owe it to yourself to see what other, more affordable options may be available for you or your dependents.
With Esurance's trusted partner, eHealthInsurance, you can
compare quotes from the largest selection of medical health plans.
Life Insurance
Let's talk about life insurance. No, it's not the most upbeat subject, but
it's an important one. Whether you're just starting out or have spent years building a secure, comfortable life for your loved ones, life insurance is
a worthwhile investment for your family's future.
Esurance is proud to work with our trusted partner, EFinancial to bring
you life insurance
quotes from several leading companies.

The Least (and Most) Expensive Vehicles to Insure
Many of you wanted to know which vehicles are the least expensive to insure. A good rule of thumb is that newer, more expensive cars are generally more expensive to insure. That's because they cost more to repair or replace if they're damaged. Likewise, fast, high-performance vehicles are more expensive to insure than 4-door family sedans.
Vehicle features that help you save
Safety features are an important part of your vehicle. They
could save your life in an accident. For more information
about the
benefits of safety features, take a look at:
Is Your Auto Fully
Loaded... with Safety Features?
In addition to deterring thieves, anti-theft devices can also earn you a discount on your auto insurance. Read more about ways you can save with anti-theft devices and prevent your car from being stolen in Thick as (Car) Thieves: Auto Theft, Vandalism, & Your Auto Insurance.

And the Winner Is...
In our summer newsletter, we asked you to send us your favorite
roadtrip photos. With so many fantastic entries, we had trouble
choosing just one winner. However, Eric, of Sarasota, FL, sent
us
a
photo that simply couldn't be overlooked, and won a roadtrip
survival
kit for his next journey.
Congratulations to Eric and to all our travelers for their unique takes
on the American landscape. In fact, we were so amazed by the talent
of our amateur photographers that we thought others would enjoy
seeing their pictures as well. Check out Policyholder Corner to see
our Roadtrip Photo Gallery: it may just spark a few ideas for your
next trip!

Collision vs. Comprehensive
While both coverages help pay for damage to your vehicle, they're used in different situations. Collision covers repair or replacement of your vehicle if it collides with other cars/objects or if it rolls over.
Comprehensive coverage, on the other hand, covers damage not resulting from a collision, most commonly: damage from falling objects, fire, certain natural disasters, and vandalism. Comprehensive coverage also protects you in case of theft, glass damage, and damage from hitting an animal.

Winter Driving Tips
Whether you live on the east coast, the west coast, or somewhere in between, winter weather can create dangerous conditions for even the most seasoned drivers. Slippery roads and poor visibility can lead to serious accidents. As we enter the winter season, a
little preparation can make all the difference.
Have tires, brakes, and wipers checked.
Slow down in bad driving conditions. In extremely
poor situations, you may not want to drive at all.
Allow more distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.
If you start to skid, don't hit the brakes. Ease off the accelerator and steer into the direction of the skid.
Put together a winter car kit, containing: sand for traction, a small shovel, tire chains, a flashlight with fresh batteries, blankets or sleeping bags, and non-perishable food items.
