Hello there. How can we help?
Better, friendlier mobile apps

Cell phones are much more than just phones these days. They're dictionaries, guidebooks, math whizzes, restaurant recommenders, and so much more. It's like having a collection of (really talented) friends, always at your fingertips. And when do you need a friend more than right after you've been in an accident?

Here at Esurance we understand that car accidents can be nerve-wracking, not to mention a little scary. That's why we've been making our cool mobile apps even cooler. Recent updates to Esurance Mobile mean that you have a whole network of helpful, friendly options available if you're involved in an accident.

Now you can submit your accident info on the spot, including:

Vehicle and driver info
A description of the accident
Pictures of the accident*

Plus, you can still call roadside assistance, find a repair shop, or access your accident toolkit — all with just a few simple taps on your smartphone. It's a lot like having your friends with you wherever you go (except our apps don't backseat drive or give bad directions).

If you don't already have one, get your app today:

Save money with smoke alarms

It's autumn. Time to pack up the flip-flops, pull out the sweaters, and check the smoke alarms. According to the Residential Fire Safety Institute, more than 92 percent of dwellings in the U.S. have at least one smoke detector.

That sounds like an encouraging statistic, but it's estimated that one third of these alarms no longer work. This is because many of us either forget to test our alarms or don't replace dead batteries when we should.

So before you light the first crackling fire of the season or crank up the space heater, be sure to check your smoke alarms to make sure they're functioning properly. Also keep in mind that
having fire alarms — and other safety devices — in your home could potentially lower your homeowners insurance premium by as much as 5 percent.
