how to find repair shop love
Finding a good mechanic is a lot like finding love — it takes time and patience. But if you stay committed and don’t settle for the first thing you stumble across, you could end up in a long and happy relationship with a trustworthy and reputable repair facility. Here are the first 3 steps to finding a mechanic you'll love.

  1. Play the field. It’s a good idea to shop around before you have an emergency. An easy way to do this is to have regular maintenance performed at local repair shops. If a shop does a great job on an oil or tire change, chances are they’ll perform just as well on larger, more complex jobs.
  2. Get set up. Ask friends and people you trust to recommend a repair shop. As with most things, word of mouth is your best bet in finding a reliable auto tech.
  3. Go online. Search is magic. There are a number of online engines that can help you find a list of local shops. National Public Radio’s Car Talk offers a locator that helps you find local shops that meet your criteria.

health insurance & h2o
Staying in shape is just as important as having a great health insurance plan. And believe it or not, summer workouts can be both cool and enjoyable — just add water. As things heat up outdoors, we put together a few helpful tips for feeling fit and fine all summer long.

  • Drink up. To get the most out of your exercise routine and avoid the unpleasant side effects of dehydration, drink plenty of water both before and after your workout. Water’s also a natural appetite suppressor and assists the body in metabolizing fat deposits. So the more you drink, the easier it’ll be to lose weight and keep it off.
  • Dive in. Swimming works your whole body and just 30 minutes a day can improve strength, endurance, posture, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. It also offers the same benefits as running without many of the negatives like muscle and joint strain.
  • Float on. Kayaking and canoeing are both great ways to flatten your abs while strengthening and toning your entire upper body. To get the most out of your workout and work your muscles evenly, row on both sides of the boat and reverse directions every so often.

But before you hit the beach make sure you have health insurance that fits your needs. (Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen.)
