Car theft and your auto insurance
You may be wondering what impact this list has on your auto insurance premium. Most auto insurance companies, including Esurance, base auto insurance rates on the industry's loss history. Commonly stolen vehicles may be charged a higher auto insurance rate.
*This report reflects only stolen vehicle data reported to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) in 2010 by law enforcement agencies. No further filtering of information is conducted, i.e., determining the total number of a particular make and model currently registered in the U.S. for comparison purposes.
