How do I file an RV insurance claim?

Esurance partners with Progressive to provide your RV insurance, and you can file a claim through Progressive at any time (Esurance does not underwrite or support claims on RV insurance policies). The easiest way to file your claim is to log into your policy to report a RV claim online. A claims rep will contact you as soon as possible to answer any questions you have and to schedule an inspection.

What info will I need to file my RV insurance claim?

When you file an RV insurance claim, make sure you have the following info on hand.

From other drivers involved in the accident:

  • Name(s)
  • Insurance information, including policy number(s)
  • Address(es)
  • Phone number(s)
  • License number(s)

From witnesses:

  • All of the above except for insurance information

In general, the more information you collect at the scene of the accident, the smoother the claims and repair process.

What info will I need to file a non-collision RV insurance claim?

That depends. If your RV or personal belongings inside the RV were stolen, you'll want to contact the police immediately. If your things were stolen, make a detailed list of the missing items and gather any receipts you have. If a fire breaks out and you can't easily control it, call the fire department immediately.

Remember to take detailed notes on damage and, if possible, take photos. If the police or fire department respond to your situation, take note of the names of respondents and get the report number(s).

Once you have the situation squared away, log into your policy and report the claim as soon as possible — a dedicated claims rep will then contact you. You can also call Progressive at 1-800-PROGRESSIVE (1-800-776-4737).

How soon do I need to file a claim?

File your claim as soon as you possibly can. Having a claim on file will expedite the repair, rental, and repayment processes. Your provider will also help you locate reputable repair shops in your area. You can file your claim anytime online.

Do auto repair shops also fix RVs?

Most auto repair shops don't have the space to accommodate larger vehicles. When you file a RV claim, your claims rep will suggest reliable repair shops near you.

Will my RV insurance policy cover me if my RV is stolen?

If you have comprehensive coverage on your RV insurance policy, yes. Comprehensive coverage typically protects you from non-collision claims, including theft, fire, and vandalism. You can adjust your comprehensive coverage limits and deductible when you get your insurance quote.

Will my RV insurance policy help me if my RV is totaled?

Absolutely. When you buy comprehensive and collision coverage, you'll have 3 options to choose from:

  • Market value
  • Agreed value
  • Total loss replacement/purchase price

These options will determine how much coverage you have in the event of a total loss.
