Reporting your claim
How do I file my PWC insurance claim?
Filing your PWC insurance claim couldn't be easier. Just log into your policy. You'll be able to enter all the pertinent info about the incident. An experienced claims rep will then get in touch to answer any questions you may have and set up an inspection time that fits your schedule.
What info will I need to complete my claim?
The best way to expedite the claims process is to gather as much info as possible at the scene of the incident. If you were in a collision, get contact and policy info from all those involved, as well as contact info of any witnesses. If authorities such as the Coast Guard responded, be sure to get their report number and the names of respondents.
For non-collision claims, you'll need info on the nature of the incident and, again, the report numbers and names of any responding authorities.
In either case, pictures snapped with your phone or other camera will help expedite the process.
How soon should I file my claim?
The sooner you file your claim, the sooner your claim will be processed, so we suggest filing as soon as you can. Claims reps are standing by, ready to help 24/7. They'll even help you secure towing and repair, if necessary.

Do marine repair shops repair personal watercrafts too?
PWCs are very similar to boats, so many marine repair facilities have the expertise and equipment to repair your personal watercraft. That said, not all shops offer the full range of services, so you may need to locate a PWC specialist. If you don't know a local shop that handles PWCs, your claims rep can help.
Will my PWC insurance help me replace a stolen or totaled watercraft?
If you have comprehensive and collision coverage, you'll receive a reimbursement equal to the current market value of your PWC (also known as actual cash value) if your watercraft was stolen or wrecked. Check your policy's declarations page to see your PWC's exact actual cash value.
If you're in the midst of a claim, ask your claims rep. Otherwise, get in touch via email, or post a question on our Facebook Wall.
This page is intended to provide you with general information about PWC insurance, and to help you understand the various kinds of coverage. It does not describe or refer to any specific policy or coverage.
