Billing and payment

Can I use someone else's credit card to pay for my auto insurance?

With the prevalence of identity theft these days, Esurance does everything in its power to protect its auto insurance customers. For example, we maintain the highest levels of security on our website, so you can feel safe providing your personal information when you buy your auto insurance policy.

For your safety, the name on the credit card must match a name on your policy when you buy your auto insurance online. While we will allow someone who's not listed on your policy, such as a parent, to pay for your coverage, you'll need to call our customer service center at 1-800-ESURANCE (1-800-378-7262) to complete your purchase.

When you choose to pay by credit card, you can pick from MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. You can also use a debit or ATM card. Even better, Esurance will automatically charge your card whenever your payments are due. That way you'll never have to worry about paying your auto insurance bill on time.

What's more, we'll always send you a reminder email before we charge your account. In addition, you can always log into your policy online to view your payment information and billing statements. If you need to make a change to your information at any time, you can do that too!

If you ever have trouble with a payment, or simply have a question, just call our customer service center. Our representatives are here round the clock to help you with whatever auto insurance questions you may have. Esurance goes the distance to make sure your auto insurance is convenient and reliable. More importantly, we want to keep you safe both on the road and online!
