Our commitment to diversity

At Esurance, our goal is to create a diverse environment that brings rich perspectives to our jobs and innovation to our business.

Our Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council, comprising associates of all levels and office locations, works closely with our senior management team to drive diversity efforts and educate associates on creating an inclusive environment.

To further support this effort, we developed Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which bring together associates with a common interest to promote professional development and community outreach opportunities.

Esurance Veterans Engagement Team and Supporters (EVETS)

Along with serving as a valuable support system for its members, EVETs helps with our veteran-recruiting efforts, creates career development opportunities for former military personnel, and promotes awareness of veterans' issues in the community.

Women's Innovative Network (WIN)

WIN is dedicated to supporting the women at Esurance and championing work/life balance initiatives for all associates. The group's goal is to create a culture of inclusion through associate engagement and leadership development opportunities.


ePride was created to support the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) community and their allies at Esurance. Through community outreach and workplace collaboration, the group works to increase awareness of key LGBTQ issues.

Young Professionals Association (YPA)

YPA provides Esurance associates who are young — or young at heart — with opportunities for career and personal development through networking events, mentorship programs, and business exposure.

Our customers, our partners, our community

Diversity and equality trickle down to all aspects of our business — from our associates to our customers to our partners. And we carry those values into the communities in which we live and work as well.

Community commitment

Each year, Esurance associates donate valuable time to volunteer with organizations chosen through the Esurance Grant Program, as well as many others. The causes that benefit from their volunteer efforts are as diverse as Esurance itself and include homelessness, veterans' affairs, and the arts. Read more about our community involvement.

Domestic partner savings

As a longtime supporter of Pride, we strive to bring equality to all of our customers. That's why we offer the married rate to domestic partners and those in civil unions in nearly every state we do business — including those that don't recognize either commitment.

Supplier diversity

Our commitment to diversity also extends outside our company. We encourage minority-, female-, and veteran-owned businesses to learn more about becoming an Esurance supplier.

Diversity training

Of course, none of these efforts would be possible without the enthusiasm of our associates. So our commitment to diversity begins with the hiring and recruiting process. As an equal opportunity employer, our goal is to attract and retain people who reflect and understand our diverse customer base. Once on board, our associates are provided with numerous training and workshop opportunities designed to maintain our open and accepting environment.

Training for associates

Our associates are given access to a wealth of diversity-related resources and training materials, including:

  • Diversity and Inclusion Awareness Workshop — an in-depth and interactive course aimed at preventing workplace harassment
  • Little Things Mean A Lot™ Workshop — focusing on how seemingly little things can help make our organization highly productive, creative, and innovative
  • Customers With A Difference™ Workshop — helping associates who work directly with our customers develop their cross-cultural skills

Training for managers

Managers are also provided with a range of resources and training designed to help them navigate the ever-changing workplace environment. Part of their training includes The Diversity and Inclusion Awareness Workshop for Managers and Employment Law Boot Camp, both of which are designed to support the development of future leaders.
