Esurance received a perfect score from the Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index for 4 years running. That achievement reflects our commitment to equality and diversity — qualities we strive to bring to communities across the nation. One of the few car insurance companies to offer the married rate — a significant savings opportunity — to domestic partners in nearly every state where we do business, we also promote and sponsor Pride events around the country.
In 2011, we extended our support to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Calling on the support of our fans on Facebook, we pledged to give The Trevor Project $10 for every "Like" we received. With the Facebook community's help, we reached our $50,000 donation goal in no time.
In 2012, we're supporting The Trevor Project's "NTL" movement, which promotes the use of a new acronym (NTL) designed to encourage more face-to-face communication, with another donation drive. This time we asked Facebook users to add their profile pictures to an NTL photo mosaic to help give a face to the community of support.
