A Growing Company, a Shrinking
(Environmental) Footprint
|

It’s our favorite time of year. Spring is here: the weather is warmer, the flowers are blooming, and we get to celebrate Earth Day!
|
|
Of course, at Esurance, we believe in celebrating Earth Day all year
round. In 2006 alone, we saved 649 trees* through our paperless
customer experience and electronic documents.
|
|
We’ve also formed relationships with tree-planting organizations in
several major cities. Through our sponsorships, these organizations planted 21,525 trees in 2006. Trees reduce noise pollution, cool the air, and absorb carbon dioxide and turn it into oxygen, all of which helps
offset the energy we use.
|
|
However, like most businesses, there are still things Esurance does that negatively affect the environment: While we
strive to use as little paper as possible, we have to use some. Like commuters everywhere, we
decrease air quality when we drive to work. Our offices also generate
trash that takes up precious landfill space. But being aware of all that
and doing what we can to offset the impact is an important part of Esurance’s environmental commitment.

That’s why in 2007, we’re working even harder to minimize our footprint
on the earth. Last year, we formed an environmental steering committee, comprised of green-minded associates. Our committee members are continually coming up with ideas for new sponsorships, as well as ways
to make our offices even more eco-friendly.
|
|
In addition to the great tree-planting organizations we work with, this
year, we’re sponsoring environmental film festivals, educational
programs, and music events all around the country. See below for events
in your neck of the woods!
|
Esurance has also joined forces with the Carbon Fund to offset the electricity use in our offices. The money we donate to the Carbon Fund
goes directly to creating sources of renewable energy.
|

When we say we've made auto insurance easier from quote to claim, we mean it! But if you’ve never had to file a claim, you may not know what to
expect.

You can file a claim anytime online or over the
phone at 1-800-926-1175. A claims representative will walk you through the process and help settle your claim quickly and fairly.

You can have your car repaired at the shop of your choice. However, if you choose to use Esurance's E-star Direct Repair Program, we can refer you to
a qualified body shop in your area. Plus, the repair
is guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle. |

We also provide the same quality service for windshield and glass claims. Simply file your
claim prior to having your glass replaced, and
we'll link you with our nationwide glass vendor. In many cases, the repair can be done conveniently
at your home or work!
