A Shout Out to My Best Decoys & a Call for Action

Hi there HQ,

I just wanted to thank all the Special Agents out there, who were busy thinking pink for this year's All Hallow's Eve.

The bad guys don't stand a chance with the best of the best Erin Esurances that we're showing you here. A big congrats for foiling the bad guys on the spookiest night of the year! No one could have known who was the "real" Erin based on your fine disguises.

Thanks to Special Agents Jana, Lorie, Rachael, and my namesakes Erin H., Erin M., and Erin ?, who did not disclose her last name. And hats off to two dynamic, double trouble couples— Pamela K. & Matt H. and Kaitlyn & Tony— for posing as me and my handler, Erik. Bet that left some people guessing...

Also, a special thanks goes to Janet, a.k.a. Jeanette, in Canada, for making my decoys international. (Truly special agent material, Janet!)

But back to thinking pink…October was breast cancer awareness month. By the time you read this, that month will be over, but you're needed year-round to do some good!

Take a look at how the To Celebrate Life Foundation is helping make a difference:

And no one should forget the fellas, either! See how Us TOO and the California Prostate Cancer Coalition are raising awareness for prostate cancer.

Of course, there are many more kinds of cancer that people are fighting. And anyone suffering from it needs Special Agents' assistance. So, be sure to support the wonderful work of the American Cancer Society too!

Special Agents, we've got a lot of work to do to make this world right. Please stay on the case, and keep the cards and letters coming on my secure mail.

Until the next time, be well and do some good.

P.S. This entry is dedicated to some very, very Special Agents who are near and dear to some of the nice folks at Esurance: Bob, Brian, Candy, Carol, Chris, Christie, Clare, Dean, Deb, Denyse, Ed, Ginette, Helen, Jada, Janet, Joni, Karla, Kathy, LeAnna, Loida, Mary, Mary Jean, Melissa, Michael, Patrick, Richard, Rosie, Slava, Sue, and Theresa. We're all thinking of you.

Special Agents: Treats & Tricks

Hi there HQ,

It’s getting close to Halloween time, and someone’s gonna get quite a treat. Not sure which Special Agent won the VIP trip to SF to take in all the action at Esurance ICER AIR, but they’re gonna have a pretty great time taking in all the tricks.

We’ve gotten the word from some other Special Agents that they’re dressing up as me for Halloween. I appreciate the help on the decoys, my friends, as you can never be too sure when danger’s lurking around the corner. (Or over-priced auto insurance, for that matter!)

By the way, I’m dressing up as myself. The bad guys will just assume I’m the decoy. It will be interesting to see if you can find me.

So, anyway, Special Agents, if you’re posing as me for Halloween or think you’ve found the real me, be sure to send me some snaps on my secure email.

If there’s a good decoy out there, I’m in the market for a little vacation.

Happy Halloween, HQ.

Special Agents: Your Latest Mission

HQ, here’s an update for all our Special Agents in the field.

You could win a trip to San Francisco and take in this year’s Esurance ICER Air.

Just go to www.esurance.com/icer. Enter for a chance to win a VIP trip for 2. You’ll take in some of the hottest skiing and snowboarding in one of the coolest cities around.

HQ, this is also my way of saying I’m going to be busy the first weekend of November. Field work, of course.

Keep those cards & letters coming on my secure email!

Subject: Botanicus' latest scheme & some superhero help

HQ - Just when you thought his plots couldn’t get any weirder, Dr. Botanicus is threatening to steal all the donations that Esurance makes to environmental charities.

Esurance is set to donate $50K to Friends of the Urban Forest. Botanicus cannot get his hands on that cash!

I’m going to talk with a crew who can help us protect it. I’ll debrief these super crime fighters on August 16, but I’ve already gotten the check deposited in their safe.

I’ll be sure to show them "Carbon Copy," the mission report of the last time we saw Botanicus. (You should probably review it as well.)

Anyway, here’s who I’m meeting with on August 16 at 9/8 Central: http://www.scifi.com/superhero/. Sci-Fi will broadcast our transmissions, so you can keep an eye on me.

Keep saving some green and don’t forget to send me your updates on my secure email.

One last thing: Word on the street is that there’s a new baddie in on the mix. Goes by the name of Dr. Dark. Wish these creeps would just get day jobs. The world doesn’t need any more bad guys. I’ll ask the superhero crew for more intel on that character.

Subject: The Road to Change Starts Here

Hi, HQ! Just a quick update, but it’s good news!

Dr. Botanicus' evil plot to destroy photosynthesis can’t win. Check out this Web site: http://liveearth.org/.

Until the next time, be sure to save some green and send me updates on my secure email!

Subject: Esurance Gets Webby

Hello, HQ & Special Agents in the Field! Though we lost Dr. Botanicus’ trail, at least my deep cover job at the auto insurance company got some good news today.

Esurance is an Official Honoree in the 11th Annual Webby Awards! (Who says that saving the world from time-wasting, over-priced auto insurance is always a thankless job?)

As for Botanicus, I’m sure he’ll turn up again. It’s kind of hard for a mad scientist who loves synchronized swimming and making evil clones to go unnoticed for too long.

No worries. I’m on the case!

Until my next report…be sure to send me updates on my secure email!

Interim Highlight Screen Report

Hi HQ. Got your communication.

Per last update, I’ve been hot on the trail of Dr. Botanicus. (At a swimming pool now, trailing him, as he seems to have a penchant for synchronized swimming.)

Mad scientist convention and masked ball is going to go down in early March. I’ll just need one back-up to cover the job. Specific dates & times in my next post. (Wonder why the mad scientists want to have a masked ball? Who knows, they’re just mad, I guess.)

Apparently, Botanicus will be convening a bunch of the world’s pre-eminent bad guys to discuss his plans to take over the planet. Chatter indicates that his latest plans involve machines, plants, robotized plants, and other strange stuff. It’s madness, that’s for sure.

In the meantime, if you see a strange character in a lab coat who’s trying to take over the world, drop me a line on my secure email.

Erik, nice to finally meet you. Liked your last message in my year-end posting. Pretty slick “code.” (I wonder how many people figured out that they had to highlight the screen?) See you at the mad scientist convention. Look forward to seeing more of you.
