How do I change the coverages, deductibles, or limits on my auto insurance policy?

Updating your coverages, deductibles, and limits is easy when you have an auto insurance policy from Esurance.

You can update your coverages (as well as your payment, driver, and vehicle information) online in minutes.

To update your coverages, simply follow these steps:

      1.  Log into your account using your email address and password.
      2.  Under the "Your Policy" tab, click the "Coverage" sub-tab.
      3.  Click the "edit coverages" button on the top right.
      4.  Enter the date you'd like your policy changes to take effect and click "continue."
      5.  Select your new coverage levels (you can click "recalculate" to see any premium changes).
      6.  Click "apply coverage changes" at the bottom of the page.
      7.  Verify your changes and click "apply changes."

Keep in mind that while changes to your auto insurance policy can take effect right away, it generally takes about 48 hours for updates to be made to your online documents, including your permanent ID card.
